On Thursday 27th June 2024 evening over 25 members & guests, following a lovely meal, took part in the transfer of our Presidential office to our new President Sue for 2024/25 year. The club gave their heartfelt thanks to Pat McFarlane PHF our retiring President.
A PHF award was also presented to Maureen Rooney for her ongoing services to the Club, Maureen was a founding member, and her work at the gardens of Whitstable & Tankerton Hospital, where she tends every day.
Ian Small took over as President Elect.
Assistant DG Kevin Fielding PHF attended on behalf of District and Whitstable Rotary Club.
Our Founding President Trevor Scandrett PHF was also in attendance.
Godfrey Brown PHF won the "Raffle Daphne" award of a £200 Red Letter Day voucher for him to enjoy at a time of his choosing.
Donations were also made to our chosen Charities Red Zebra and Canterbury Foodbank in addition to donations made during the year to these two very worthy causes.
Thanks were also given to our Hosts at The Plough Inn where we meet - Mel and her team, for looking after us so well.
