Rotary Clubs and Rotarians are keen to link with local community groups to develop projects and promote
opportunities. Rotarians are ‘People of Action’ and need to be visible in their local communities. To promote Rotary in the Community,
Clubs can consider applying for a District Development Grant. Examples include:
• The Club or a group of Clubs can work collaboratively or in partnership with other organisations such as schools, community groups etc.
• The maximum grant is £250, which is not match funded
• It is a one-off payment, with the activity or project being reviewed after 12 months
• The payment is not to be made to any charitable/other organisation but must be for a specific aspect in the community
Possible activities/projects
• A community bench
• Picnic table and benching
• Play equipment
• Fitness equipment
• Community or sensory garden
• Signage in the local community
