The route then turns to pass behind South Ockendon, the round tower of the Church can be seen in the distance and across fields and a golf course down to the footbridge over the Mar Dyke at North Stifford. We turn left at the bridge and follow the bridleway beside the Mar Dyke, cross at the next footbridge and cross the fields back to Corner Farm.

Walkers should have appropriate footwear and clothing; there may be several muddy sections of footpath. This is not a race and time does not count.
