On Thursday 18th. July our speaker was James York who is the Community Relations Manager for the construction company COSTAIN.
The title of the talk was COSTAIN "MEETING PEOPLE'S NEEDS" and what we heard was a story of how the company, which most of the members present associated with home building, has developed into an organisation which plans and constructs huge projects costing billions of pounds.
James used the Costain-Skanska Crossrail Project Paddington to illustrate the kind of work the company now undertakes.
With informative slides James revealed a truly mind boggling story of how Costain-Skanska is going about building the new station which will be part of the Crossrail Project.
What a truly impressive undertaking.
