Our Weekly Meetings

You can find us at Westminster College

We meet in the heart of Cambridge City every Monday (except for Bank Holidays of course). We are lucky enough to be able to meet in the Old Dining Hall, Westminster College. We have a drink then a meal often followed by an excellent speaker from industry, university or a charity. We also have Business and Committee meetings to decide on our plans for the year plus a wide variety of social events with partners and guests. Our many and varied community projects and outings take us all over the city and the surrounding area on other days

We welcome anyone who might be interested in our work or in joining the club - do please get in touch with our secretary for more information, parking and costs, well in advance of the day you are interested in.  (Book any Vegetarian or Fruit Salad choices in advance).

Our twilight Club nights start at 5.45 for a 6.15pm meal and talk, then runs to 7.30 or 8.00pm.

Each 5th Monday of the month we usually invite partners/guests and start later - 7.00 for 7.30pm.

Members are assumed to be attending unless apologies are received by the end of each preceeding Wednesday.

Week 1
Roast Coley, crushed new potatoes with a selection of vegetables and cold sauce vierge

Mushroom & Tofu Stack, crushed new potatoes with a selection of vegetables and cold sauce vierge (V)

Pineapple Upside-Down Sponge with Custard - OR Fresh Fruit (book in advance)


Week 2
Bacon, Sausage, peas and mushrooms Penne with a mixed salad and home-made focaccia
OR
Creamy mushroom Pasta with mixed salad and home-made focaccia (V)

Chocolate Brownie with Chantilly cream - OR Fresh Fruit (book in advance)


Week 3
Roast Silver-side of Beef, Roast Potatoes, Yorkshire Pudding and a selection of vegetables - with horseradish sauce and gravy (optional.)
OR
Parmesan and roasted garlic Tart with lemon, chicory and pea shoots served with a selection of vegetables. (V)

Apple Crumble and custard -  OR Fresh Fruit (book in advance)

Week 4
Smoked Haddock, poached egg with new potatoes, mange tout and spinach.
OR
Stuffed Mushroom, poached egg with new potatoes, mange tout and spinach (V)

Chocolate Profiteroles - OR Fresh Fruit (book in advance)

Week 5
Chicken Supreme in a tomato & mascarpone sauce with sauteed potatoes and a selection of vegetables
OR
Roast vegetable stack in a tomato sauce with sauteed potatoes and a selection of vegetables (V)

Vanilla Cheesecake with mixed berries  - OR Fresh Fruit (book in advance)


Week 6
Gammon, chips with peas and a grain mustard sauce (optional)
