Rotary Club Lunch Meeting

We had hoped to have Mike Tilley who is the owner of the Newcastle Arts Centre on Westgate Road, speak to us after lunch. Mike couldn't make it but Peter Tracey gave a banner presentation instead on one of the Brazilian Clubs he had visited while on GSE.
Mike Tilley's talk on "Westgate, a forgotten City Centre" would have told how an elite group of merchants ruled trade, politics and the militia on Tyneside from a town house in Westgate. It sounds intriguing.
