We are organising a Derby Day lunch on Saturday 6th June and the main charity that will
benefit from 50% of the amount raised is Cynthia Spencer Hospice. I am sure you
are aware of the excellent work that the Hospice does in Northampton.
People will turn up from say
12.30 for drinks, we will have a three course lunch followed by coffee and then
4 or 5 races including the Derby around 4.00pm and the event will finish by
5.00pm. The Derby is I think regarded as the first event of the Summer and we
will take the opportunity to enjoy the company of our colleagues and their
other halves.
You can place bets in multiples of £1 and I think it will be on the tote
system and there will be a bar available throughout the afternoon.
The cost for a table of 10 is £400 and includes the three course lunch and
coffee and the afternoon's racing on the big screen. Individual tickets are £40 each.
The venue is The Marriot Hotel, Eagle Drive, Northampton.(previously known as
The Swallow).
I shall be grateful if you will let me know if you are able to attend and
support this event by taking a table of 10, alternatively please let me know
the number of individual tickets you require and I will put together Tables. It will be great fun and the weather is normally glorious on Derby Day.
If there are particular dietary requirements please let me know and I will
advise the hotel.
Mike
