This evening our speaker will be the entertaining Prof Tim Cox on the topic of past and present uses of poisons in medicines.

Professor Cox is Professor of Medicine at the University of Cambridge, with clinical responsibility in acute internal medicine and metabolic diseases at Addenbrooke's Hospital. He qualified in medicine in 1971 and has conducted scientific investigations principally on inborn errors of metabolism. Additionally, he serves on the board of several journals and is an Editor of the Oxford Textbook of Medicine.

A Meeting of Club Council will follow this meeting - 8 - 9.30pm - ish.
