Simon will talk to us about the work of the Soldiers Charity.
'I joined the Army in 1984 at the age of sixteen as a junior Para, I went on to join the Third Battalion The Parachute Regiment, I served for twenty four years in three Para, Operational tours consist of, Northern Ireland in the late eighties early nineties, I served in Iraq 2003 and 2005, Afghanistan in 2006. My last post in the Army was Unit Welfare Officer for 3 Para, I left the Army in 2009, I became a County Welfare Officer for the Royal British Legion, during this period, I worked out of the Personnel Recovery Centre in Colchester for two years.
I have now been in post for eighteen months, as the Briefing Liaison Officer for East Anglia and London, for The ABF The Soldiers Charity.'
