A big welcome to the Rotary Club of Chipping Sodbury.

So what actually is Rotary?

The Rotary Club of Chipping Sodbury is part of Rotary International which provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. Today there are approximately 1.2 million Rotarians who belong to more than 31,000 Rotary clubs located in 167 countries

What does this club do?

Joining a Rotary Club is a great way to meet people and make new friends whilst, at the same time, doing something you often hear people talk about - putting something back into society.

We meet regularly for sociable and interesting events whilst also working to help support local and international projects. Across the world members are encouraged to be actively involved in their local communities. Many of our projects are organised for the local community, some on a regional basis, whilst others are organised at an international level.

And where does that money come from?

In Chipping Sodbury our club currently raises money through four main annual events; a classic car run; the Sodbury Sportive - a non-competitive, long-distance cycling event, a lung-busting off-road running event known as the Sodbury Slog, and the sale of Mince Pies and Mulled Wine at the town's annual Victorian Day.

In the last year alone, we raised over £30,000 which has enabled us to support a wide range of causes.**

Friendship is a key word within the club and supporting the community is always combined with fun.

Key events in 2018 will include a Charity Auction (May), The Classic Car Run (June), The Sodbury Sportive (August), The Sodbury Slog (November) and a Mulled Wine and Mince Pie stall (December)

We also have a number of social events though the year that are open to everyone. To find out more use the CONTACT tab at the top of this page
