This second sponsored trip was advertised through a number of local charitable agencies who have contact in the community with lone parents and children who would benefit from an enjoyable and educational day out.
32 children with 16 parents again enjoyed the wonders and delights of Whipsnade and seeing wild animals in the their natural habitat
The Lone Parent initiative is part of our programme to reach out and support those vulnerable in the local community who would benefit from an educational and fun day out and was supported by a grant from Rotary’s own charity, The Rotary Foundation.
