This concert will raise funds for Rotary's 'End Polio Now' Campaign. This has so far helped to enable the immunisation of more than 2.5 billion children against polio in 122 countries and reduced the incidence by 99.9%.
Polio is still prevalent in a few areas of the world, but complete eradication is within our grasp. As it can only be transmitted between humans, once the last case has occurred, it can never return. Immunisation costs only $0.60 per child.
The band will play a varied selection of music including Black Dyke Mills Band and Last Night of the Proms favourites, joined by guest soloist Gemma Hinchcliffe
Tickets for the concert will cost £10 and will be available from late February. There will also be a retiring collection
