BBC GARDENERS' WORLD AT BEAULIEU.

We look after the plant 'creche' and raise money too.

"A total of 12 Members, partners and friends turned up at the Plant Creche at Beaulieu  to assist in the temporary storage and delivery of plants purchased by attendees at this special event.

The weather on Saturday was perfect and there were big crowds and lots of plants, ornaments and a lunch bag were deposited with people being very generous in their donations on leaving them in our ‘safe’ hands.

Sunday was unfortunately overcast, and damp, making conditions less attractive for the stalwart helpers.

Nonetheless our efforts contributed to the raising of £1547.68  for "Maggie's Cancer Charity".

This was an excellent example where we can provide ‘Service above Self’ and facilitate the raising of money, and awareness for another Charity without breaking into our coffers."
