Treasure Hunt

Ron & Marel Elliston will test our powers of observation
Location - Maldon. Starting from White Hart Lane CP
and meal after the hunt at The Queen Victoria PH, Spital Lane, Maldon

Treasure Hunt

The treasure hunt will start from the pay-and-display car park at White Hart Lane in Maldon (CM9 5QP) and Marel & I will be located by the recycling bins at the entrance to hand out question sheets from 5:00 pm until 5:30 pm. If for any reason you are delayed on the way please call us on one of the mobile numbers given below.

Parking charges are £1.20 per hour up to 5:00 pm, after which time there is just a single charge of £1.70 to park from 5:00 pm until 10:00 pm. Payment is by card at the machines (or via a RingGo ap  - which is a mystery to me).

Although there are public loos close to the entrance to the car park, alas, these close at 5:00 pm. Maldon District Council has however been asked if the closing time can be extended by one hour, to 6:00 pm, that evening and their response is awaited.

Following the event we shall be eating at The Queen Victoria public house in Spital Lane (CM9 6ED), which is only a short drive away. There is limited parking to the left of the pub, where we can double park, or there is roadside parking in Acacia Drive opposite the pub.

Whatever point you have reached with your answers to the clues, please arrive at The Queen Victoria by 7:15 pm as we are booked to sit down at 7:30 pm.

Many thanks to everyone who has already paid for their meal (£25 per head for 2 courses, including tea/coffee and service). If you have yet to do so, please make your bank transfer to ‘Rotary Club of Ingatestone Club Account’ at sort code 20 12 21 and account number 70770299, or send a cheque to Peter Phillips made out to ‘Rotary Club of Ingatestone’.

Look forward to seeing you all on the evening.

Regards, Ron & Marel
