Karabo Gwet is the daughter of Pierre and Marilyn, both parents committed to giving opportunities to their family members, but this video shows how when a community equally supports a young person how they develop and appreciate the efforts and opportunities given to them.

In 2022 Karabo attended a Rotary Youth Leadership Award, [RYLA] Karabo was supported by Crickhowell Rotary whilst Brynmawr sent two of her friends on the same course in the week. They each returned from the course having grown in confidence and also maturing in the week away from home…The difference a week can make! To Quote our youth lead Michelle Hurter "It’s the pebble in the pond affect. We see the ripple, but we never know how far it extends." 

Brynmawr Rotary wishes Karabo much more success in her life choices, knowing Karabo is grounded and committed to the ethos of the Rotary family having experienced many activities and opportunities alongside her parents, sister Chloe and her peers within the wider Brynmawr and Crickhowell communities.
