Christmas Light Switch On

Thu, Nov 24th 2016 at 6:45 pm - 8:45 pm

Raffle - Derek Clark

Reception - Gerald Smith / David Buchanan

Santa and his Sleigh made their first outing of the year at the switch-on of Queensferry Christmas Lights on Thursday 24th November. Rotarians stewarded the procession from the Loan to the stage in the High Street and Santa spent a busy evening meeting children and hearing their hopes and wished for Christmas.

Rotarians and their guests then enjoyed an evening of fellowship in the Hawes Inn.

A fortnight ago, Rotarians enjoyed a splendid evening of wine tasting and good food at the Edinburgh School of Food and Wine.  Members sampled the finer things of life in the  impressive 18th century coach house of Newliston Estate, which is a perfect location for the school. Thanks are due to Enrico Prentice, Liz Mackenzie and Iain Fairbairn who organised the evening.
