On Thursday 1st June the Rotary Club of South Queensferry held a business meeting at the Hawes Inn. Vice Chairman Neil McKinlay, who took the chair, congratulated the committee which had organised such a well-run and successful Rotary Forth Bridge Abseil on Sunday 28th May. He also thanked all club members and volunteers whose presence on the day ensured the event went smoothly. Graham Clarkson, abseil organiser, announced that the total raised by the abseil had now reached £156,000 - a remarkable achievement for a one-day event.

Among other business the club voted to donate £500 to the fund supporting victims of the Manchester terrorist attack.
