Fellowship Evening

Thu, Oct 31st 2019 at 6:45 pm - 8:45 pm

Raffle - Neil McKinlay
Reception - Graham Leith / Alan Brown

On Thursday 31st October, the Rotary Club of South Queensferry and guests, some in Halloween garb, enjoyed a fellowship evening in the Hawes Inn. After the meal, Past President Neil McKinlay and Vice President Irene Brownless gave a short presentation on a seminar  they had attended at Tynecastle on how to stem the danger of dwindling Rotary membership and regenerate clubs to attract people not necessarily wanting to participate in the formality of traditional Rotary clubs. In other business, President Jim McCulloch said how much the club's participating members had enjoyed the recent District conference. A full report will be given at a future meeting.

The club was also visited by Louisa Horne, a District Governor from Canada whose district includes Newfoundland, Labrador and St Pierre & Miquelon. By chance, Louisa and friends happened to be in the Hawes Inn and brought their good wishes to the club.
