Mid Herts Rotary Youth Speaks heat

The local heat of the Rotary national competition for public speaking teams of three.


Youth Speaks is a national competition and the best teams in each age group will go on to the District semi-finals and, hopefully, later rounds.  Teams have to present a talk on a subject of their choice and always provide an enlightening and entertaining evening.  At Dame Alice Owens School, Potters Bar in the theatre with preliminaries at 6.00 and the competition starting at about 6.30.  More details at midhertsrotary@blogspot.com

The EVAC team deals with local and national matters including support for local environmental and other projects, charities and individuals. The focus is currently on supporting small local charities.

The International Committee deals with donations to international charities and with Rotary Foundation matters, including Rotary grants and matched funding.

The Youth Service Committee organises youth competition heats run by the club, currently Young Chef and Youth Speaks, and works with three other local clubs through Mid Herts Rotary to promote a wider range of youth activities.
