The Rotary Club of Chipping Sodbury is part of Rotary International which provides humanitarian service, encourages high ethical standards in all vocations, and helps build goodwill and peace in the world. Today there are approximately 1.2 million Rotarians who belong to more than 31,000 Rotary clubs located in 167 countries
Joining a Rotary Club is a great way to meet people and make new friends whilst, at the same time, doing something you often hear people talk about - putting something back into society.
We meet regularly for sociable and interesting events whilst also working to help support local and international projects. Across the world members are encouraged to be actively involved in their local communities. Many of our projects are organised for the local community, some on a regional basis, whilst others are organised at an international level.
In Chipping Sodbury our club currently raises money through four main annual events; a classic car run; a lung-busting off-road running event known as the Sodbury Slog, a Golf Day and the sale of Mince Pies and Mulled Wine at the town's annual Victorian Day.
In the last year alone, we raised over £15,000 which has enabled us to support a wide range of causes.**
Friendship is a key word within the club and supporting the community is always combined with fun.
