Rotary Charity Colf Competition Friday 24th May

This is our third year of organising a charity Golf competition and although the number of teams taking part has decreased each year, the money raised at the event has increased and this was actually our most successful year.

In 2022 we had 20 teams competing with the chance to win a car if they got a hole in one. To cover this risk, we took out insurance which was paid for by James Ball Cars. Freewheelers were our nominated charity and we had 15 sponsors. The net profit on the event was just under £3000.

Last year we had 16 teams and 11 sponsors donating . We did not have any big prizes and saved the insurance cost for the hole in one prize. Overall, we raised £2150 shared between Jessie May and the Ukraine appeal

This year we had 14 teams booked and we only had 8 sponsors but one of these was Barratt Homes who sponsored the event to the tune of £1000.

The final amount raised on Friday comes out at £3525 – which we will now donate to PROPS
