Asif Rouffi a journalist from Afghanistan and now a volunteer at Swindon Radio 105.  He will talk about his journey and the support the Radio Station gives to people of all ages, abilities and cultures.  Shirley Ludford is coming with him to help in case he has any language problems.

SWINDON 105.5 has been serving the town since 2008. A Queen's Award for Voluntary Service organisation, it is the locally-based and volunteer led station which broadcasts 24 hours a day.  Their volunteers are key to the Radio Station's award winning success. Roles carried out include presentation, production, administrative duties, promotions, research, outside broadcasts, IT and broadcast technology, website, fundraising and much more...

Funded through grants, donations, and fundraising activities, Swindon 105.5 also offer advertising and programme sponsorship to local businesses at affordable rates. It is a Not For Profit community broadcasting organisation licensed by OFCOM.
