Nidderdale Charity Walk
The Rotary Club of Harrogate Nidderdale Charity Walk
It is with great regret that what would have been our 27th charity walk scheduled for the 10th May 2020 has had to be cancelled. We will be back in 2021, the 100th anniversary of the formation of our club, so do keep an eye on our walk website www.nidderdalewalk.com
The 2019 walk was our 26th annual charity walk which returned to its original departure point in Pateley Bridge.
The whole purpose of our Walks is to raise money for charities and, as in previous years, all sponsorship monies raised by walkers are for the benefit of their own nominated charities. To date, walkers have raised over £900,000, an amazing achievement. This year the event was organised in conjunction with Harrogate Hospital and Community Charity. Profits from the entry fees paid by entrants were shared between HHandCC and local charities supported by the Rotary Club of Harrogate
There were five walks of approximately four, eight, fifteen and twenty six miles, The walk routes all started from Pateley Bridge . The eight mile walk headed for Coldstones Cut whilst the others headed up Nidderdale towards, and for some beyond, Lofthouse.
Despite the unforessen cancellation of our walk in 2020 plans will be made for our 2021 event details of which will be published on www.nidderdalewalk.com in due course.
We thank all our walkers for their past support and, of course, would welcome further entrants for this excellent and well established event in 2021.
Alongside this event we will also be organising our fourth 26.2 mile run limited to 90 entrants, for further details go to www.runnidderdale.com
