16 students and 10 carers from Springfield School visited the new Crocodiles of the World, near Brize Norton in West Oxfordshire, the onlyCrocodile Zoo in the UK.
The visit, arranged by Witney Rotary Club, lasted 90 minutes and all the visitors had an exciting time. Everyone who wished got to handle and stroke a baby Crocodile and watched feeding time. Fortunately none of the children ended up as lunch.
For organiser Glyn Rees this is something special "It's one of the best jobs I get at Rotary and think it is well worthwhile just for the look of joy on the students and carers faces.
The Crocodiles of the World site is about twice the size of the previous one and has been designed exceptionally well. The crocodile enclosures are large and well built and the animals look very content For anyone looking after grandchildren the zoo is a great place to take the kids for an hour or two."
