QUEENSFERRY ROTARY CLUB HOSTS GROUND-BREAKINGLINKUP WITH VOLUNTEERS IN KENYA.

 
On Thursday 2nd April, the Rotary Club of South Queensferry held an International Fellowship Meeting  with a difference. A live Skype linkup with Kenya enabled club members currently working on improvements to the Kenya Children's Home  which has been sponsored by the club for more than a decade, to participate in the fellowship. President Charles Fletcher began the evening with a live cross to Junior Vice President Graham Leith in Kenya who said grace in Swahili.. Following dinner in Kenya and Queensferry, members came together again for a presentation by Graham, Craig MacKenzie, Jim McCulloch and Brian Robertson who have been painting, decorating and repairing accommodation in the Kenya home. The atmosphere in the Hawes Inn was charged and club members were deeply moved to experience such direct involvement in Rotary in Action.
