INDUCTION OF NEW MEMBERS

Thu, Feb 12th 2015 at 12:00 am - 12:00 am

District Governor Jean Thompson visited to induct 9 new members into the Satellite Club.

Our Satellite Club has been developing slowly over the last 18 months or so, but has now lifted off in a big way.

President John McLoughlin, District Membership Chairman Tony Fairley and PDG Tony Wortman accompanied DG Jean to a special meeting at which 9 new members were inducted.  They were welcomed by Gemma Dishman, chair of the Satellite Club, and Rotarian Andy Bradley, who has been leading the initiative for the growth of the Satellite Club.  One other potential member was unable to attend on the evening.

The Satellite Club already has an ambitious programme of events for the remainder of this year, including helping other clubs in our Group to stage a successful Dragon Boat Race in September.

For details of what the members are planning, please have a look at their website:  www.seaburnrotarysatellite.co.uk
