Sodbury Sportive

Now one of the UK's leading sportive events.
However due to the current circumstances the 2020 event has had to be cancelled. However please ink in Sunday 15th August 2021 for an even better ride, keep safe.

The Saddleback Sodbury Cycle Sportive was conceived and developed by members of Chipping Sodbury Rotary Club and has been running for a number of years raising many thousands of pounds for mainly local charitable causes.

Now organised by the charity All Chipping In, the Rotary Club acting in a supportive role.

The event takes place annually in August and sees around 1000 cyclists completing a choice of 4 distances (100 miles, 75 miles 50 miles or 25 miles) along well signed (over 700 signs) and marshalled routes.

Mechanical support at the start and along the route is provided, as well as a broom wagon to collect struggling riders.

It is considered a must do sportive for all levels of cyclists, with some wonderful countryside, quiet lanes and beautiful views to be enjoyed.
