Tree planting in memory of Ron Piggott

Members of our club and Ron’s family met on the morning of Saturday 10th February 2018 and we planted an English Maple tree in the Rotary Avenue of Remembrance in Langley Park. Since the club was formed in 1972 several trees have been planted to commemorate the lives of Rotarians who have committed a lot of time and effort to the club. Ron was one of those. He had been a member for over 40 years and is very much missed. He was a really active Rotarian who was prepared to get involved in most of the activities even in his eighties. He was the stalwart of many of them and quietly made the difference to make so many events a success.
