Steak and Bowls at the Grove in Leominster

Wed, Oct 31st 2018 at 7:00 pm - 9:30 pm

We enjoyed yet another sociable fun evening at the Grove in Leominster

This fifth Wednesday regular event kicked off at 6.45pm when 17 Rotary members and Friends of Rotary arrived at the Grove in a jovial mood ready for the game. We were delighted to welcome guests Dave and Sue Fenlon, Dave and Gill Clement, Steve and Vi Sperring and their guest Geoff to the gathering. After a tasty meal of steak, chips, mushrooms and peas we trooped into the bowling alley, donned the "oh so fashionable" red bowling shoes and headed to our lanes. As usual we all shared excitement of a strike or a spare, and groans of a gutter or near miss, with lots of chit-chat in between. As the end drew nigh, it was down to the last ball when Cathy had to get 9 or more to beat Dave F - and she did it! Final scores were very low - 101 to Dave 102 to Cathy but a great evening was had by all. We are looking forward to the next one on January 30th TBC,,,,,,
