Frequently Asked Questions

We meet every Thursday evening, usually at The Hove Club 28 Fourth Avenue, Hove, East Sussex, BN3 2PJ. There is normally 1 dinner meetings in the month, on the 1st Thursday, from 7.00 – 9.30, when we have speakers from all walks of life wo inspire and entertain us, and we also occasionally arrange social events at other venues around the City.  The remaining Thursdays are Club Teams and Club and Rotary Business meetings at the Hove Club. 

Do I needed to be invited by a member to come to a meeting and may I come along to some meetings before I make a commitment to joining?

I am interested in seeking support for a local charity - who do I contact?

How much does it cost to join?

Our annual subscription is currently £120 per annum, and the Rotary year begins on July 1st. 

How much does it cost to attend dinner meetings?

Currently the cost is £23 per person for a two course meal. There is no charge to attend our other Team and general  meetings.

Is there a dress code.?

Dress Code for dinners and other events is “smart casual”.

Do I have to attend every meeting?

It is not essential that you attend every meeting, although there is a real benefit to attending regularly, and getting involved in volunteering, fund raising events and other social activities.
