...through the eyes of a local Bobby on the Beat going back fifty years ago. On-line via Zoom with Chris Foster.

Chris Foster qualified as a member of Camden Tour Guides Association in 2019.  He has a love of the old part of the Kings Cross area, south of Euston Road, where he was a Bobby on the Beat whilst at Holborn Police Station from 1970 onwards.  Chris has developed his own unique "Alternative Kings Cross" walk and has recently created an illustrated online version with a focus on the fascinating back streets.  He will not only entertain you with many historical facts, but will also add plenty of personal memories from his policing days, starting off with the immortal words "You will never guess what happened on this street corner......"

Camden Guides entertain and inform visitors to Camden, offering guided walking tours of all areas inside the borough, including Camden Town, Bloomsbury, Fitzrovia, Kings Cross, Hampstead and Highgate.  All guides have spent a minimum of a year studying Camden and guiding techniques, passed various exams, and wear the bage which is given to them by the Mayor of Camden.
