Lunch meeting and DG visit at the Lion in Leintwardine

Wed, Apr 27th 2022 at 12:45 pm - 2:45 pm

This afternoon we welcomed our DG Ray Bevan today for on update on his plans for 2022.

This was a pleasant lunchtime at the Lion in Leintwardine. We ordered in advance so the service was excellent, as was the food and the company of our fellow Rotarians.

We warmly welcomed both our DG ( District Governor) Ray Bevan and our ADG (Assistant DG) Doug Warren to our meeting. DG Ray outlined his plans, and his progress made during his year, which started in July in 2021. He discussed a wide range of matters including the Ukraine conflict support, District grant funding, saving mothers and children world wide, the polio eradication programme and much more.

At the end of his interesting talk President Margaret presented DG Ray and ADG Doug with our club banners and DG Ray presented President Margaret with his unique Rotary pin. The raffle ( raising money for the Rotary Foundation) was drawn and was won by Rotary member Trixie Morgan.

So after an enjoyable afternoon we are looking forward to our next meeting which will be held at the Baron in Bucknell starting at 7pm with our Rotary Council meeting, followed by a light snack of sandwiches and chips. We shall see you there!
