Club Meeting

President Derek Clark welcomed members and guests to the first Zoom meeting after the presidential handover. President Terry Keefe of the Rotary Club of Southport again joined the meeting. Gerald Smith then presented his video record of the second half of Immediate Past President Irene Brownless's Rotary year. This included excerpts from the many virtual talks and presentations enjoyed by members over this period and also club events like the Burns Supper, Photographic Competition and Community Awards Evening. Projects such as refurbishing The Haven gardens, for which Craig Mackenzie received the Jim Boyd Paperweight, were also featured. President Derek thanked Gerald for his superb presentation and IPP Irene said it would be a great memento of the year for her to keep.

Jim McCulloch reported that the District Handover between Callum Thomson and Ken Robertson had taken place in the Cumbernauld Peace Garden. They planted a tree as it was not possible to hold the customary dinner.
