Charity cheque presentation evening

A wonderful celebration

Sixty members and guests of the Rotary clubs of Banstead & Sutton Nonsuch attended the annual Cheque Presentation Evening held at Sutton Bowling Club in January 2025.

Representatives from twelve local charities were presented with cheques as a result of the Rotary Christmas Collections held throughout the Banstead and Sutton area in December 2024.

The Mayor of Sutton, Councillor Colin Stears, and his wife the Mayoress, were Guests of Honour. Councillor Stears thanked all the charities and the Rotarians for the wonderful work that they do for the citizens of Sutton & Banstead. He also thanked the generous people of both Boroughs for their generous support over the Christmas period.

The local charities who were presented with cheques were;

  • Maggies at the Royal Marsden Hospital
  • Cruse Bereavement Service
  • Parkinson's UK
  • Age Concern
  • Epsom, Ewell & Banstead Homestart
  • Crossroads Care Surrey
  • Epsom & Ewell Talking Newspaper
  • Transform Housing Team
  • The Good Food Company
  • The Diamond Riding Centre for the Disabled
  • National Autistic Society
  • Queen Elizabeth Centre
