Young Writer - is a national competition which will run during this academic year 21-22. The local Bury Heat closes on 30th November 2021. The winning entrant will win a small prize and will be put forward for the district competition amongst Rotary Clubs across East Anglia. Ultimately there is the opportunity to compete at a national level. All entrants will receive a certificate of acheivement. Entry is free of charge.
Entrants must be between 7 and 10 years old ( inclusive) on 31st August 2021.
The Task
Write a short story, or piece of prose up to 550 words or a poem up to 40 lines on the theme of "The Environment" The piece may have any title as long as the content is relevant to the set theme.
Work may be handwritten or typed but must be legible, contain no images and be submitted electronically accompanied by a completed entry form signed by a parent or guardian. See below for entry form and the full instructions.
