The Annual Golf Tournament in support of Queensferry Care, organised by the Rotary Club of South Queensferry and QCCC (Queensferry Churches Care in the Community), took place at Dundas Parks Golf Club on September 30th. Queensferry Care provides high-quality person-centred support to older people and their carers living in South Queensferry, Dalmeny, Kirkliston, Newbridge, Ratho and Ratho Station. Its aim is to reduce social isolation and enable people to maintain an active, independent lifestyle within their own community.
Sue Hope, Fundraising manager of Queensferry Care, thanked the organisers and members of the participating teams. The Golf Day raised just over £2,400 in much-needed funds - a really wonderful result in these challenging times.
The winning teams were:
1st Jim Hume's Team Net score 56
2nd Mark Nevin's Team Net score 61 (better inward half)
3rd St Margaret's RC Church Team Net score 61
Congratulations and thanks go to all who took part.
