Headway Ayrshire was established on 4thDecember 1995 and is the main community based provider for Clients, Carers and Family Members who have been affected by a head/brain injury.  Although based in Ayr, the charity operates across the three Local Authority areas, and delivers a unique and tailored information, advice and support service to all those affected by the head/brain injury.  The support is via identifying and developing their own coping strategies and to re-connect with their family members and the local community.

Charlie Boax, who attends Grange Academy, was the winner of our local Rotary Young Musician competition. On Sunday, 23 April 2023, Charlie competed in the RIGBI Young Musician Final in Manchester and was again successful.
