We support

Description of what we as a club do and support we provide at home and abroad

What a difficult few years it has been but despite the lockdowns and the inability to hold meetings and fundraising events the Rotary Club of Cardiff St. David’s has continued to make a difference in the St Mellons local community and further afield.

The theme announced by RI President Elect Shekhar Mehta in 2021/22 was “Serve to Change Lives.” We have been doing just that for almost 38 years and we will continue to make a difference and change lives as we continue our good works.  Through our talented and hardworking members, we have successfully built connections with the St. Mellon’s Community through the activities and programmes it arranges and supports.

We continue with our support in the St Mellons Area and

  • St Mellons Youth Activity Centre
  • The Primary schools within the St Mellon's area
  • Eastern High School
  • St illtyds High School
  • WISP Judo
  • Working with the Elderly - working with Age Connect, a charty that provides volunteers to help the elderly, we offer transport for individuals to enjoy an afternoon tea
  • Young Chef @ Spiros
  • Mencap
  • Beacon Centre
  • Together for Trowbridge and St Mellons

As well as the fun side of the Club (as can be seen on our slide shows) the heart of our work and focus if for those in need.

On the International side, we have a close connect with a School and Hospital in Uganda, where a number of our members were fortunate to visit in 2010.

We also support

  • Rotary Foundation
  • Shelter Box
  • Little Angels Orphanage
  • Micro-Financing - KIVA
  • End Polio
