Unfortunately our speaker Laura had to cancel, so, yet again David E stepped in with another of his 'Memory Quizzes'.  But before that commenced Stan explained that following discussions at Council, it was felt that our social events could start again. Consequently he announced that a BBQ was planned for Sunday 31st July in the garden of Stan and Shirley, from lunchtime and the afternoon.

So on with the quiz, splitting us into our 3 tables, as previously with lots of banter and some questionable answers floating about.  As is normal Jane was complaining , as a 'mere youngster' , she new non of thia as it all happened before she was born!

The outcome from the 41 questions that in 3rd place was Gail's team with 31 points, followed by Ian's team with 35, but the winners were declared as Adrian's top team with 37, powered by Alan W(great to see him back looking well and fighting fit), Alan F, Jane H, Rob & Barry N.

Gerry wrapped up the evening with her well constructed Vote of Thanks, thanking David E for standing in at short notice, commenting on things she overheard: Rob stated he was 'totally bemused', Mary complaining that there was little time for discussion.  Although Jane claimed she knew nothing couldn't resist giving us a solo version of Tom Jones 'it's not unusual' and finally Rob declaring that he knew 1 answer!

Another good evening full of fun and laughter!?                             AR
