The meeting will be held at Conifox in Kirkliston.


The Bistro at Conifox in Kirkliston was the venue on Thursday 7th July for Rotary South Queensferry's postponed handover meeting and awards presentation. Outgoing President Derek Clark presented four Paul Harris Fellowships. One of the highest awards in Rotary, the fellowships mark significant contributions to Rotary Foundation.

Recipients were Iain Fairbairn - nominated by Gerald Smith, Jim McCulloch - nominated by Craig MacKenzie, Derek Clark - nominated by Richard Brown and Adan Dzierzek, and Irene Brownless - nominated by Sybille Handley Schachler. The Jim and Eileen Boyd Trophy was received by Matt Purdie, and Craig MacKenzie received the John Rennie Trophy.

President Derek Clark congratulated his team for a very creditable performance, particularly in Community Service projects. He then handed over the chain of office to Sandy Mackenzie. President Sandy then presented the Vice President's Medallion to Neil McKinlay and the Secretary's Badge to Eric Proven. The Junior Vice President's Badge and Treasurer's Badge were presented to Sybille and Morrison Handley-Schachler, who were on holiday, by Zoom.

The meeting closed with an impressive video presentation by Gerald Smith of Immediate Past President Derek Clark's presidential year. As well as viewers on Zoom, the meeting was attended in  person by guests Paula Fairbairn, Jeanette Clark and Helen McCulloch. Fiona Chandler, who was unable to attend, will receive her Community Award at a later date.
