Club Meeting

The meeting of Rotary South Queensferry at Conifox Bistro, Kirkliston, on 21st July was chaired by Vice President Neil McKinlay. The fellowship meeting, which took place in considerable heat, began with Vice President Neil welcoming guests Chris and Fiona Chandler. Neil then presented Fiona with a Rotary Community Award. In his citation, Neil commended Fiona for supporting  the Friends of Ferry Glen group for many years and assisting with a wide range of environmental projects in Queensferry. Fiona has also been a leading participant in GreenFerry Planting Group and a long-standing and enthusiastic supporter of the Hawthorn Bank Community Gardens project which has transformed a derelict site in the old town into a beautiful community asset. On receiving the award, Fiona thanked Rotary for its continuing support and Neil in particular for his commitment to improving and enhancing the environment in Queensferry.
