An opportunity to find out all you want to know about Community Transport: Then, Now and What’s Coming Next!

Will a bus be along when you need it?!

Ok, you have a car and love the ease of driving (or being driven) wherever and whenever.  You may choose to cycle or walk when you want.  But what happens if your options are suddenly limited or you’re told you won’t be able to drive anymore?

An opportunity to find out all you want to know about Community Transport: Then, Now and What’s Coming Next!

(And even if you don’t need it yet – you can still help your neighbours and rural residents).

More about Anita Donnelly

With a first career in Education and Youth Work and a second as an HR, Training and Organisational Development professional in the private sector, Anita’s experience in team building and coaching led to 12 years as a freelance consultant working overseas mainly with governmental bodies in Eastern Europe, Africa and China.

She joined East Surrey Rural Transport Partnership* in 2015 as Community Development Officer and also co-ordinated the Wheels 2 Work Scheme in Kent, which offered affordable moped loans (loan of vehicle with training, insurance, servicing, breakdown and safety kit and 1:1 support included) to help those in rural areas reach work, education and training.  Unfortunately, all funding support ended in 2020 but ESRTP managed to continue helping existing riders stay employed (or volunteering if furloughed) during the Covid years until the Wheels 2 Work Scheme finally had to close down in 2022.

Since April 2022, she has also been acting in a ‘Community Transport Connector’ role across South Tandridge in partnership with NHS Surrey Heartlands helping to identify and solve patients’ travel problems via a referral process for health and wellbeing professionals.
