Cirencester Rotary Community Meal in Partnership with World Jungle, Cirencester Town Council and Cirencester Soroptimists
For those of you who may not have heard of World Jungle, it is a social enterprise which, amongst other things, runs free activity events and days for families and their children who are eligible for free school meals. As part of their Fun and Activity Day in St Michael’s Park on Wednesday 31st May we, Cirencester Rotary Club, along with Cirencester Soroptimists, supported by funding from Cirencester Town Council, are providing an early evening Community Meal for free in St Peter’s Church Hall on St Peter’s Road – starting at 5pm with food served from 5:30pm. We aim to be cleared-up and finished by 8pm.
We’d like everyone who comes to feel welcome and to enjoy themselves and to that end we need your help. If you, a family member or a friend could help in any way please let Chris Rowbotham know now. For example:
· Sit and eat at a table and chat with people so that no-one feels left out from 5.15 pm onwards
· Venue layout/set-up and clear-up (tables, chairs, etc) from 3.30 pm onwards
· Welcoming people on their arrival from 4.45 pm onwards
· Hosting a table –from 5 pm onwards
· Food – including serving, washing-up, etc from 3.30 pm onwards
Barbara Banks is heading up the ‘Welcome and Front of House’ team and Chris’s wife Liz is heading up the’ Food & Kitchen’ team (the 2-course hot meal will be very tasty and simple – no food preparation or actual hands-on cooking needed!)
