Dave Shallow - Factory Inspector

We were - to our surprise - entertained by this "Factory Inspector"...
Starting with a brief history of health and safety legislation (read more of it on the HSE website) Dave gave us a light-hearted description of his work and responsibilities. Along the way, he demolished many of the myths that have grown up under the collective heading of "elf'n safety". Dave emphasized that the key objectives are the duty of care placed on an employer and associated responsibilities of employees for their and their colleagues' safety.
