Jim Hargrave - Durham Helicopter Museum

News of a new venture here in County Durham

No, it doesn't exist yet, but Jim told us of this innovative, if not unique scheme.  The vision is the construction of a purpose-designed building to house a collection of historic helicopters alongside a critically important facility for the rehabiliation and training of injured ex-sevicemen (and women).

The museum and workshops will be built on Shotton Airfield, just ten miles east of Durham, sharing the grounds with the Skydive Academy.  Current efforts are focused on raising funds to complete the detail design and costing of the facility - we wish them well.
