Thu, Nov 14th 2013 at 12:00 am - 12:00 am

Jaeuk, from South Korea, won and Ambassadorial Scholarship to the UK in 2009.

Jeauk explained that he had been determined to win a Scholarship and was finally successful at the third attempt.  He was hosted by Peter Tracey of the Newcastle upon Tyne Club while he studied at Newcastle University.  He was unstinting in his praise for Rotary International and expressed the significance of the way Rotary has changed his life - for the better.  He is now back in the UK for post-graduate studies, again at Newcastle.

Jeauk stated that his ambition is to put his Rotary experiences and UK education to good use in becoming "an inspirational teacher" in his native South Korea.
