TROMSO 2014
Over the last few months the International Committee has been organising an exchange visit with Tromso Rotary Club, in the far north of Norway. Confirming dates has taken longer than we had hoped, but dates have now been confirmed.
We choose Tromso as it is a similar sized city to Hereford, many Norwegians speak English quite well, they have 24 hours of daylight in June and the Northern Lights in the winter. We have cattle, and like Tromso is nowhere near our capital ! Both cities share a common trait, everybody has heard of it but not sure where it is - Tromso is inside the Arctic Circle and we are near Wales on the far side of the M5 not far from Birmingham Bristol and Cardiff !
TROMSO ROTARIANS & PARTNERS ARE VISITING HEREFORD
Wednesday 7th to Saturday 10th May
HEREFORD ROTARIANS & PARTNERS ARE VISITING TROMSO (and Oslo)
Wednesday 25th to Sunday 29th June
The International Committee is putting together a varied programme for our visitors including a guided tour of Hereford Cathedral, Chained Library and City, Hay-on-Wye, traditional afternoon tea, pub lunch etc. Due to only three Rotarians and two wives we will not be hosting a grand dinner, but a more informal evening.
A number of Hereford Rotarians have already booked flight and other travel arrangements, but it is still not too late to get involved, or even come with us. We have sorted out who is hosting, but that does not mean you are excluded
