One of the great causes that we recently supported was the U12's team at Hereford Lads Club Juniors by sponsoring their new football kit. They looked amazing in their new Rotary shirts and told us they were determined to stay top of their league.

Hereford Lads Club will be celebrating 100 years next year and over this time they have been an anchor point for many young people. Here's a little of their history.
The Hereford Lads Club was founded in 1925 for under privileged boys by Mr J Mackay with the aim of providing young boys with the means to become men through sport, emphasising gentlemanly conduct and good sportsmanship, and originally catered for gymnastics and boxing before developing junior football teams.
In January 1940 Hereford Lads Club was destroyed by fire and sadly all early records were lost. Thankfully the club was rebuilt on its present site overlooking Widemarsh Common after the land was generously donated by Mr W R Bufton together with donations from many local businessmen. In the 1960s and 1970s Hereford Lads Club blossomed and was attended by as many as 170 young people per night, creating a great community spirit.
Today they have a thriving junior football section, with boys and girls from U8 up to U18. Their Sunday football development group has boys and girls up to the age of 8.
