Street Angels was set up by the city centre churches in 2007, and They welcome volunteers of all faiths and none.

Street Angels operate on Friday and Saturday nights, usually from 8pm to 2am. They patrol in groups of three or four. Their route takes in the West End, Kirkgate and Bradford Interchange.
They can: -

    Give directions
Summon help if you are concerned about your health or safety
Phone your parents/friends and provide a safe place for you to wait for them
Offer tea, coffee and a listening ear
If you request it, a member of the team can pray with you

In their first six months, violent crime in the city centre fell by 22%, with a 60% reduction in robberies and an 80% reduction in common assault.
