Poetry Evening organised by Alan Arthur

Wed, Oct 1st 2014 at 12:00 am - 2:00 am

As Keith Howard is recuperating from his operation Alan Arthur is organising an evening of poetry where members will present their favourite poem. Speaker Finder Keith Howard, Visitors Host Grace and Banners Gerald Sanderson, Cash Desk Barry Smith

The people who will be giving us their favourite poems next week are set out on the attachment.

The order in which individuals will give us their poems is also set out on the attachment.

The presenters must follow the format below:

1.     Tell us what poem they are going to recite;

2.     Tell us a little about the poet;

3.     The circumstances in which the poem was written;

4.     Why the poem was chosen and

5.     Then the recitation of the poem can begin.

You may change the poem you wish to give; but only after having a discussion with me.

There will be a Poetry Three in November so that all members will have had the opportunity to share their favourite poem with us.

Many Thanks, Alan Arthur
